Y School Age Child Care
The Brantford Y understands the need for quality child care programs in our community. This is why we have established our Before and After School Programs for children from JK – 12 years old. Our child care programs focus on health and safety and are rich with experiences that will enhance a child’s emotional, intellectual, physical
and social development.
Who is Eligible for this Program?
Any child 12 or under who is attending the elementary school and needs a supervised, recreational program. Programs may sometimes be run out of other approved facilities.
How do I Register?
Contact the Y at 752-6568 ext 111 to check for availability or visit the Before/After School Co-coordinator in your school for more information and registration forms.
What is the Cost?
The program costs $3.00 per child in the morning and $5.00 for After Care per day. Parents must register their child in advance of participation at the Y or with a school age co-coordinator, if a program exists in your school. A $10 registration fee per family is required upon registration. Since this is not a “drop in” program families will be billed for each day the child is scheduled to attend. Two weeks written notice is required for any schedule changes.
How do I pay?
All fees are automatically deducted from either your bank account or credit card on the 1st of each month for the prior month. PAC forms must be submitted with your enrollment forms before participating in the program. Remember, families will be billed for each scheduled day regardless of attendance.
What Activities Occur?
Children participate and socialize in a supervised program consisting of physical activities, games, crafts and more for up to two hours per session. What if the Program is Not in Your School? If you are interested in getting a Before and After School Program in your school, please contact the Y at 752- 6568. Your school principal must grant permission to survey the school and to run any of these programs.
Who is Our Staff?
All our Before and After School Care staff are caring individuals who have undergone a training program, CPR certification and a criminal record check. Our staff is dedicated to making this program fun, active and educational for each child.
